Well it looks as though we will finally be able to get our 2013 season underway as we put the finishing touches on what has been a massive construction project. We will get things going with an open Time Trial day on Saturday the 25th and follow that with a regular no points race on Sunday for our E.T. classes. We’ll open the gates at 9am on Sat. with time trials starting at 10am. Gates open at 8:30am on Sunday with time trials starting at 9:30. We will get our Summit E.T. Points Season started on June 9th after another open time trial day on June 8th. We had scheduled the Street Showdown for June 9th but seeing how that will be our first points race we will reschedule the Street Showdown for June 30th. Well Racers & Spectators, it is with great pleasure to confirm the rumors, dispel myths, or otherwise and inform everyone that ESTA will be going 330' with a new CONCRETE STARTINGLINE! Construction is set to begin on or about April 15 WEATHER PERMITTING!

We all have to remember that we live in Upstate NY, so bear in mind that cold temperatures & concrete do not mix well. The blacktop grinding equipment needs temperatures above freezing before we begin. Also, the concrete needs warmer temps as well. So stay tuned to the forum for updates!

As it stands, we will be removing the 21' of blacktop between the starting line and burnout box which will be replaced with concrete. The starting line, from roughly 34' behind, out to the 330' will all be new concrete 12' wide. (We have currently been using only 8') After the concrete has been placed and cured, it will be diamond honed for flatness & texture, identical to National Event Tracks!

Due to this work the scheduled April 14 season opener will be delayed. Keep checking in on the message forum for the most current news updates.
