New Concrete Startline to Delay Opener

Well Racers & Spectators, it is with great pleasure to confirm the rumors, dispel myths, or otherwise and inform everyone that ESTA will be going 330' with a new CONCRETE STARTINGLINE! Construction is set to begin on or about April 15 WEATHER PERMITTING!

We all have to remember that we live in Upstate NY, so bear in mind that cold temperatures & concrete do not mix well. The blacktop grinding equipment needs temperatures above freezing before we begin. Also, the concrete needs warmer temps as well. So stay tuned to the forum for updates!

As it stands, we will be removing the 21' of blacktop between the starting line and burnout box which will be replaced with concrete. The starting line, from roughly 34' behind, out to the 330' will all be new concrete 12' wide. (We have currently been using only 8') After the concrete has been placed and cured, it will be diamond honed for flatness & texture, identical to National Event Tracks!

Due to this work the scheduled April 14 season opener will be delayed. Keep checking in on the message forum for the most current news updates.

2013 ESTA Preview

Cicero, NY - Last year at this time we had some of the warmest Spring weather in years so naturally this year when we want to get started on our new starting line project the weather stinks! While we cannot do anything about the weather we can look forward to an exciting 2013 racing season.

motorama displayRealistically we will probably open mid-May and plan on running as many Saturday time trial days with Sunday Summit Racing E.T. Series days as we can. Komen Charity race on July 14, The Girls-Go-Racing at ESTA race to benefit D.R.A.W. on August 25th, in addition to our Showdown races for the money classes featuring top payouts to the winners.

1st Annual ESTA Snow Drags February 10

On Sunday, February 10th, ESTA Safety Park is working with Dave Meneely and Blackjack Racing Circuit to hold the 1st ever snow drags at ESTA Safety park. This facility will be one of the best places for fans and racers with the layout of the race.

We are going to have 2 lanes wide, 500 foot race track with 900ft of shutdown. We will be following all ISR Hill drag rules and all sleds MUST have a working tether switch to race. We are going to run a complete program which will include:

120cc, Juniors, 500cc, 600cc, 700cc, 800cc, and 1000cc

120cc, 500, 600, 700, 800, and 1000cc

500, 600, 700, 800, and 1000cc

440 - 600cc Stock and Modified Classes
700 - 1000cc Stock and Modified Classes

A 4-Stroke Turbo class as well as a "Run-What-You-Brung" class will also be available.

All classes will be 100% as normal with the exception of the Premier classes being Open Stock, 800 Imp, 1,000 Imp, 800 Pro Mod, Dan Cerio Memorial 1000 Pro mod and Run what ya brung.

For these Premier classes we are trying to find class sponsors for each and would like the purse to be $1,000 before any entry fees payout are added to it. We are working hard to make this the biggest race in New York. Any questions regarding classes or sponsorship can be directed to: Vince Musolino at 315 254-8408, Jeff Parker 315 374-0476 or Dave Meneely 315 945-1968. Visit Blackjack Racing Circuit online for complete event and class information.
