Myles Higby Scores King of the Track Win Over Hardman

King of the Track Winner Myles Higby

September 7 - The month of September 4 major events every year and it was kicked off on Sunday with the special NHRA King of the Track event which pitted class leaders in a single elimination race to determine the winner. This year's final saw Modified point leader Myles Higby top Pro division leader Justin Hardman for the K.O.T. title.

Justin got the head start with a decent .537 light, but broke out by .004 trying to hold off Myles' charge, with a 11.436 E.T. on his 11.44 dial. Myles launched his Poison Ivy '69 Dodge with a stout .515 reaction and ran a solid 10.594 at 123.55 mph pass on his 10.57 dial-in to score the win. Jordan Reader and Sudsy Eastman were the semifinalists.

August 24 - After a non-points scheduled event and a rainout, we got in a full day of quarter-mile drag racing that included our annual Girls Go Racing special event. Rain Abbreviates Super Pro Showdown Program

Ryan Yarah - August 3rd Pro MX Winner

August 3rd - With rain in the forecast, we ran our Summit Racing E.T. Series event at 1/8th mile today and almost completed the program before the skies opened up. Finals were completed in Pro MX, Modified, Street Trophy and Jr. Dragster, all the rest of the remaining classes split the points and payouts.

Pro MX
Ryan Yarah slapped a near perfect run on reigning class champion Heath Smith for the Pro Mx win. Ryan dialed his 2009 Suzuki in at a 5.94 and got the final started with an awesome .502 reaction and powered to a .003-over 5.943 at 114.40 mph pass for an ultra-tight .005 package. Heath gave chase on his '01 Arctic Cat with a .597 initiated, 5.480 at 130.54 mph breakout pass on his 5.52 dial and settled for the runner-up finish. Dennis Boston and Bob Salerno were the semifinalists.
