June 10 - It was a hot one on Sunday, but racers perservered and it was Steve English scoring the Street Showdown win over Butch Bunal who was driving his son Matt's Camaro while Matt is away at college. The Street Showdown was the first class Showdown of the season that posted top payouts for the Street Money class. Pete's full race recap will follow shortly.

Gene Stankivitz III drove his ’81 Malibu Wagon through the dragster dominated Super Pro field and took the final round win over Kenny Taylor who was driving his Chevy powered dragster. Gene held a .516 to .532 starting line advantage to secure the win with a 6.661 at 99.08 mph run on his 6.65 prediction. Kenny who was dialed in at 5.55 ran 5.572 at 120.63 mph to take the runner up cash. Tom Samsel was the semifinalist.

Mike LaRose was at it again in Pro this week as he wheeled his ’69 Dart to the win after he stopped Gary Rolfe Jr. who was driving his ’85 S-10. Mike had a big advantage at the starting line with a .547 to .615 advantage. Mike ran a 6.657 at 95.31 mph run on his 6.57 dial. Gary settled for the runner up spot with a 7.490 at 92.01 mph run on his 7.46 dial in. John Pierson was the lone semifinalist.
