Summit E.T. Racing Series - July 15

July 15 Super Pro Final

July 15 - Another hot, but great day to race the 5th full Summit Racing E.T. Series event of the season. After some evening rains, the skies cleared and the track dried up nicely for full card of racing. Here's how the final rounds shook out and the boxscores below.

Kris Larsen - Super Pro Winner

Super Pro
The Super Pro final saw Kris Larsen score a red light win in his '94 Olds over Tim Roberts and his dragster. Dialed in at a 5.70, Kris got his run started with a solid .011 reaction time and cruised to a 5.749 at 123.59 mph pass for the win. Tim went red by a whisker with a -0.003 foul and cruised to a 5.271 on his 5.17 dial for the runner-up finish. Mike Scribani was the lone semifinalist.

Mike LaRose - Pro Winner

After two-straight runner-up finishes Mike LaRose parked his '69 Dodge Dart into the Pro Winner Circle with a .015 m.o.v. win over Brett Hoffman in their final round duel. Mike won the starting line battle with a .051 to .076 r.t. advantage and chased Brett down at top end with a 10.334 at 117.35 mph run on his 10.26 dial-in. Brett drove his '72 Chevy to an 11.174 on his 11.11 dial for the runner-up honors. Myles Higby and Mike LaRose Jr. drove to semifinal finishes for the day.

Bob Salerno - Pro MX Winner

Pro MX
Pro MX action saw Bob Salerno defeat last week's winner  Ryan Orizino.  Bob basically sealed the deal at the line with a substantial .018 to .079 r.t. advantage and caught Ryan at the top end with room to spare, clicking off a 9.656 at 119.31 mph pass on his 9.63 dial-in for the win. Ryan posted a 10.590 at 111.59 mph on his 10.56 dial for his runner-up effort. Kevin Wuest drove to the semifinal finish in his 2018 chassied Polaris.

Steve English - Street Money Winner

Street Money
Steve English won the Street Money final over Rich Garland when he slapped a .016 package on Rich with a .005-over 12.858 at 106.83 mph winning pass. Rich cut a decent .032 light, but was forced into a breakout run in effort to hold off Steve at the top end running a too-quick 16.571 on his 16.61 dial-in. Steve Seelman Jr. and Dan Caissie were the semifinalists.

Myles Higby - Modified Winner

Myles Higby took the Modified win in a double-breakout final over Brian Mahler. Myles held a massive starting line advantage over Brian with a .065 to .170 cushion and just dipped under his 9.88 dial with a 9.878 at 130.77 mph pass. Brian dialed his '73 Plymouth in at a 11.09, but broke out with an 11.029 in his effort to hold off Myle's top end charge. Bill Bedell and Dave Hubbard drove to the semifinal finishes.

Steve Seelman - Street Trophy Winner

Street Trophy
Steve Seelman in his '92 Firebird got the Street Trophy win over Bill Coon in his '84 Camaro. Both drivers missed the tree with Bill holding a .153 to .170 advantage, but he couldn't hold Steve off with his .046-over 15.196 pass. It was just enough "open door" for Steve who ran a solid 14.503 on his 14.49 dial-in to score a .016 mov win. Last week's winner Jamal Mack drove to a semifinal finish.

Kevin Wuest - Bike/Sled Winner

Bike/Sled Trophy
Kevin Wuest won Bike/Sled over Sudsy Eastman. Kevin won both ends of the track with his .072-initiated, 10.209 at 11484 mph pass on his 10.13 dial-in. An uncharacteristic .179 r.t. for Sudsy and an off the dial 10.539 on his 10.44 dial-in was enough for Kevin to cruise to victory. Bob Salerno was the lone semifinalist.

Jimmy O'Toole - Jr. Dragster Winner

Jr. Dragster
Jimmy O'Toole got the double-breakout Jr. Dragster win over Paige Montgomery for a .015 margin of victory. Paige held a slight advantage at the start .036 to .046, but too too much win stripe at the finish with a 7.953 at 81.83 mph on her 7.96 dial. Jimmy just missed a dead-on dial-in with an 8.008 on his 8.01 dial in his class winning pass. Natalie Musolino and Jazmyne Short drove to semifinal finishes.

That wraps it up for today's action. We'll see you next Sunday.
