Summit E.T. Racing Series - August 2

Top Street Final round

Bersani Tops On the Street

August 2 - We returned to our regular weekly Summit Racing E.T. Series event this weekend that included our 1/8th Mile Top Street Shootout. This heads-up event of street-legal hot rods saw local performance guru Jim Bersani score the win in his beautiful, twin-turbo powered '66 Chevy II Wagon over Fred Davis and his equally beautiful '72 Camaro. In this .400 Pro Tree race there are only two ways to lose, finish second across the finish line or red light, and that's what Fred did effectively ending any chance for the win.

Jack Vault - Winner Super Pro

Super Pro
Super Pro action saw Jack Vault hold off Westley Cayea for the win after both drivers cut identical .516 reaction times. Jack ran closer to his 7.63 dial-in with a 7.656 at 172.40 mph pass and held off Westley's hard-charging 7.313 at 174.53 mph run on his 7.28 dial. Jordan Reader and Scott Popple drove to semifinal finishes.

Eric Sadowski - Pro Winner

Eric Sadowski won the battle of the Mopars when he won both ends of the track over Myles Higby and his '69 Dodge. Mike LaRose was the sole semifinalist.

Steven Stone - Pro MX Winner

Pro MX
Steven Stone scored a red-light win over Dennis Boston in the Pro MX final. Ryan Orizino was the semifinalist.

Bill Coon - Street Money Winner

Street Money
Bill Coon got a solo run in the Street Money final when Josh Tucker's '65 Plymouth broke and couldn't answer the call. Steve English and Howard Roberts were the semifinalists.

Becca Searles - Modified Winner

Defending class champion Becca Searles returned to the winner's circle for the second straight E.T. Series event over frontrunner Myles Higby who held a 5 point lead heading into this week's event. What better way to celebrate her win than a photo Op in the ESTA Winner's Circle!

Steve English - STreet Trophy Winner

Street Trophy
Steve English  could probably dial-in a shopping cart and win if he had to! Steve drove his 2014 GMC pick up to the win over Earl Snyder with a reaction time advantage providing enough cushion to hold off Ear's charge. Michael Holifield made another late round run and finished with the semifinal finish.

Bike/Sled Trophy
Keith Miller won a tight race over Kevin Wuest for the Bike/Sled Trophy win. Sudsy Eastman was the lone semifinalist.

Shane Bingel - Jr. Dragster Winner

Jr. Dragster
Shane Bingel bought a comfortable reaction time advantage over Mackenzie Cayea and parlayed that advantage into a Jr. Dragster class win. Abby Hacker scored a semifinal finish.
