Super Pro
Super Pro action saw Pete Winfrey in his Chevy powered dragster catch a huge break in the final round when his opponent Scott Forbes fouled in his '70 Nova. Pete had a late .661 light and ran an off 8.350 at 162.38 mph on his 8.17 dial to score the $1,000 payday. Scott who has been away from racing for a few years just missed the tree with a .498 foul and took the runner up spot with a 10.600 at 125.34 mph run on his 10.57 dial. Terry Scheirer was the semifinalist.

Mike LaRose - June 7 Pro Winner

Mike LaRose made his season debut today and took home the Pro class win in his familiar '68 GTX, defeating Anthony Zangari who also fouled driving his '95 Camaro. Anthony had a .478 light and shut off while Mike had a great .507 and also shut off. Myles Higby was the semifinalist.

Pro MX
A new name made it into the Pro MX Winner's column when Josh Costa took out Ryan Orizino.  Josh held a .519 to .595 starting line advantage and that's where the race was won because both riders ran right on their dial in's. Josh ran an 8.719 at 145.16 mph his 8.71 dial and Ryan ran right on his 10.16 dial with a 10.169 at 123.91 mph. Kevin Wuest was the semifinalist on his Polaris.

In Street Money Rick Vose driving his ’75 Plymouth took the win over Mike Halsey driving his ’75 Nova. Kurt Hagen was the semifinalist in his sharp Camaro.

Tom Samsel - June 7 Modified

The red light bug was out again in the Modified final round and Tom Samsel in his recently acquired '80 El Camino was the benefactor when Scott Smith in his '64 Plymouth lit the red bulb. Tom would have been very tough to beat as  he carded a .537 reaction and ran right on his 10.88 dial in with a 10.884 at 121.32 mph. Scott ran a 10.464 at 127.85 mph on his 10.40 dial in. Mark Dobie was the semifinalist.

Street Trophy
Kurt Hagen drove his '11 Camaro to the Street Trophy win defeating Steve English in his '82 Cutlass in a double-breakout final round. Mike Holifield was the semifinalist.

Bike/Sled Trophy

Matt ran an 8.571 at 157.27 mph on his 8.58 dial for the win and Sudsy ran a 10.122 at 125.34 mph on his 10.00 dial to finish as the runner up. Pro MX winner Josh Costa was the semifinalist.

Abby Hacker - June 7 Jr. Dragster

Jr. Dragster
Abby Hacker drove her Jr. Dragster to the win by defeating birthday boy Shane Bingel in the final round. Abby was dialed in at 7.93 and she ran a 7.965 at 82.10 mph while Shane ran an 8.204 at 79.07 mph on his 8.17 prediction. Abby also got Shane at the tree .582 to .658. How cool was it that Dan Fletcher who was racing in Pro today joined Abby in the winner's circle. Ron Klein Jr. and Natalie Musolino were the semifinalists.

That wraps it up for the action on June 7th, we'll see you this Saturday for the Pro Stick and Open time trial day and Sunday is the Pro MX Showdown.
