Summit E.T. Racing Series - May 24

Doig, Meier, Moulton Score Pro Wins

Tom Doig May 24 Super Pro Winner

May 24 - Spectacular weather greeted racers for a perfect day for racing on this Memorial Day Weekend. See how the final rounds shook out in the boxscores below.

Super Pro
By the time Super Pro got down to the semifinals we were down to three door cars and no dragsters which is a rare sight in this class. Tom Doig wheeled his beautiful '69 Plymouth to the win by stopping Iggy Falcone in his spotless '65 Pontiac. Tom held a decent starting line advantage .511 to .556 and he won with an 8.80 at 151.59 mph run on his 8.76 dial while Iggy ran under his 9.93 dial in with a 9.92 at 132.33 to settle for the runner up spot. Tom Belvick driving his '69 Camaro lost to Iggy in the semis.

AJ Meier - May 24 Pro Winner

Pro
AJ Meier got a nice, new blue paint job on his '69 Nova and he drove it to the Pro win today by stopping Terry Lee in his '89 Mustang. AJ cut a .569 light and ran right on his 10.63 dial in with a 10.634 at 122.28 mph, while Terry missed the tree with his .615 and ran under his 10.00 dial with a 9.929 at 129.32 mph runner up effort. Todd Lipke and Dave Tingley were the semifinalists.

Brian Moulton - May 24 Pro MX Winner

Pro MX
Last week's Pro MX runner Brian Moulton on his Kawasaki scored the win this week when he stopped Matt Luke on his '05 Suzuki. The reaction times were close .573 to .577 in Brian's favor and he ran a 10.032 at 114.85 mph on his 10.00 dial while Matt ran off his 8.49 dial-in with an 8.570 at 156.75 mph runner up pass. Robert Williams was the semifinalist.

Jake Lipke - May 24 Street Money Winner

Street Money
Young Jake Lipke drove his father Todd's '70 Chevelle to the impressive Street Money win when he stopped many time winner Steve English in the final round. Steve held a .547 to .557 r.t. advantage, but Jake ran right on his 11.72 dial with an 11.726 at 107.62 mph, while Steve ran off his 12.54 prediction with a 12.593 at 106.89 mph effort. Todd Minerd was the semifinalist. I believe that this was Jake's first win with the car and as a side note he will be attending the National event at Englishtown in a few weeks for the special Street Class race.

Modified
Modified action saw Myles Higby in his familiar '69 Dart take the win by stopping Anthony Correia who was driving his '71 Chevy. Myles had a .558 light and ran a 10.429 at 122.67 mph on his 10.32 dial, Anthony settled for the runner up spot with a 10.562 at 130.06 mph run on his 10.40 dial in. Mark Bukowski and last year's points champ Becca Searles were the semifinalists.
