Belvick Repeats in Super Pro Win Over Leo

Tom Belvick - July 20 Super Pro Winner

Super Pro
Super Pro action saw Tom Belvick return to the Winner Circle again, this time after he knocked off Mark Leo in their final round match. Mark was in position to close the door on Tom as he held a solid .510 to .525 reaction advantage, but his '85 Monte Carlo fell off his 9.32 dial-in with a 9.454 at 144.66 mph pass allowing Tom to drive around him for the win. Tom dialed his S&W dragster in at 7.82 and ran a 7.897 at 159.05 mph before he clicked it off for the win. Pete Winfrey piloted his dragster to a semifinal finish.

Justin Hardman - July 20 Pro Winner

Justin Hardman improved on his July 6 runner-up finish scored the easy win after Jacob Bombard lit the red light at the start, handing the win over to Justin. Jacob would have had a handful as Justin nailed the tree with a near-perfect .501 reaction time. Seein his win light, Justin eased off his 11.50 dial and coasted to an off-throttle 12.34 for the win. Todd Lipke returned to the semis for the second straight event.

Skip Tamburino - July 20 Pro MX Winner

Pro MX
In Pro MX it was Skip Tamburino winning one for the MC crew when he piloted his 2005 Kawasaki to the win over reigning class champion Heath Smith who was running his '01 Arctic Cat drag sled. Skip held a slight R.T. edge over Heath with a .542 to .553 advantage and ran closer to his dial-in with a 8.220 at 152.61 mph on his 8.20 dial for the win. Heath kept it close with an 8.674 at 145.62 mph run on his 8.65 dial for the runner-up honors. Jeff Strickler was the lone semifinalist.

Street Money
Klaus Dieroff made his first return to the Winner Circle after a long absence in his vaunted "Blue Pig" '70 Chevy El Camino SS in a double breakout win over Street Kingpin, Steve English. In a near photo finish, it was Steve going deeper under his 12.65 dial with a 12.625 at 108.20 mph run, handing the win to Klaus. Klaus held a .519 to .539 starting line advantage and just dipped under his 11.95 dial with a 11.935 at 112.55 mph pass and was awarded the win light at the top end. Mike Halsey and Howard Roberts were the semifinalists.

Kim Rogge - July 20 Modified Winner

Kim Rogge continued her excellent season when she handed Don Austin the yellow time slip in their Modified final round match. Kim drilled the tree in her '73 Plymouth Duster with a .505 light and parlayed that into 10.758 at 123.98 mph pass on her 10.70 dial to score the win. Don ran closer to his dial, but his .535 reaction was too much of a gap to overcome and he had to settle for the runner-up finish. Larry Backus and Becca Searles drove to semifinal finishes.

Street Trophy
Scott Brosnan scored the Street Trophy win over Earl Snyder. After less then stellar reaction times by both drivers, Scott did win both ends of the track and won with a 12.392 at 108.73 mph on his 12.31 dial. Earl drove his 2012 Dodge to a 13.879 at 102.02 mph on his 13.79 dial, good for the runner-up finish. Kim Rossiter and Zach Thomason were the seimfinalists.

Bob Salerno - July 20 Bike/Sled Trophy Winner

Bike/Sled Trophy

Sudsy broke out with a 10.07 on his 10.08 dial-in while trying to erase Bob's r.t. lead and settled for the runner-up spot. Craig Branham II was the semifinalist.

Jr. Dragster
Jenna Lipke caught a huge break in her final round match against Brooke Adams in the regular Jr. Dragster point race when Brooke gave up nearly a tenth starting line advantage (.536 to .625) and broke out by a heartbreaking 0.002 of a second when she drove to a 8.908 on her 8.91 dial-in.  Jenna drove to the win with a 7.956 at 82.99 mph on her 7.91 dial. Danial Thorpe and Shane Bingel drove to semifinal finishes.

Paige wasn't far behind at the line with a .547 light, but broke out more with a 8.045 at 80.50 mph pass on her 8.07 dial. Ron Klein Jr. was the semifinalist.

In Junior "B" it was a family feud between the Bingel brothers Shane and Colby. Eager to put big brother Shane on the trailer, Colby was a bit too quick on the tree with a .264 red light and handed the win over to Shane. Daniel Thorpe was the semifinalist.

April Martin - July 20 Komen Charity Winner

Susan G. Komen Charity Race
In the special Susan G. Komen charity race where all the entry fees are donated to the Komen foundation it was April Martin in her '76 Dart taking the win by stopping Gary Rolfe Jr. who was in his '85 S-10.
