Summit E.T. Racing Series - October 9th

Eastman Racing Dispatches Bike Challengers For Bike/Sled Sweep

Shane BingelIn what can be considered one of the wettest racing seasons in recent history, the weather Gods gave us a break and blessed the ESTA faithful with a beautiful day for racing. Read below for quick recaps of the racing action until Pete updates with his full class recount.

Super Pro
With nearly identical reaction times, Brett VanBrocklin lost a heartbreaker to Billy Caprara with a .004-too fast 7.806 run in their final round showdown.

Mike LaRose
took it one step further than his Super Pro semifinal finish and slapped a perfect .500 light on Steve Doss and scored the Pro class win. Doss was right there with Mike, but his .003 too quick .497 red light sealed the deal for LaRose.

Pro MX
Derek Eastman scored his first win of the season by knocking off "Fast" Freddie Jacobs in the finals and past champion Cory Bingel in the semis. The race was more or less over at the start as Derek had over a tenth in the bank with his .518 to .693 starting line advantage.

Street Money

Giving up the starting line advantage to Jim Smith, Anthony Zangari closed the gap on his dial-in and erased Smith's advantage to take the Street Money win in his trusty '99 Camaro.

Past Junior Dragster Champion Michael Reynolds made the border crossing from up 'Nord a memorable one has he returned to the ESTA winner circle, this time in a fullsized dragster when he knocked out Pete Beeman and his '94 Ranger.

Street Trophy
Ted Lewis won a tight race over the ever-tough Dick Aversa in their Street Trophy final round.

Bike/Sled Trophy
Reigning Bike/Sled Trophy Champion Sudsy Eastman completed the Eastman Racing sweep of the Bike/Sled classes when he knocked out Ryan Robinson in their final round showdown.

Jr. Dragster "A"
Joshua Snyder won on a Dunham Hall redlight start, but would have been difficult to beat with a strong .029 package.

Jr. Dragster "B"
Shane Bingel
scores his first ever win in his rookie season with his win over Jacob Snyder in the Jr. "B" final round match.
